Uses:
An “Elite” choice for sod production, over seeding and new construction of PREMIUM Bluegrass turf. AVALANCHE can be used as a dense, attractive first cut rough component to contrast Bentgrass fairways. This is an excellent choice for overseeding of moderate to high maintenance bluegrass athletic fields, commercial landscapes, lawns and golf course roughs. When used in a program of optimum fertility and managed soil P.H., it will spread and withstand cleat wear, traffic and mechanical damage. As an aggressive type, AVALANCHE is invaluable in broadening the genetic base of Bluegrass blends and mixtures.
Geographical Adaptation:
Avalanche will thrive throughout the range of Kentucky Bluegrasses adaptation. It has adaptability in the northern quarter of the transition zone under appropriate management.

Avalanche features very wear tolerant- aggressive growth, excellent density, with a compact habit that offers strong rhizomatous repair of damaged areas for the customer who unquestionably wants the highest quality obtainable. Avalanche provides medium color, fine texture, along with excellent spring green up and resilience in hot and humid summer conditions.
