CHARACTERISTICS
Rhino Hard Fescue is an advanced generation synthetic
variety containing naturalized selections collected
in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and West. It is
a medium-early variety with semi-dwarf characteristics
and a low-growing, aggressive crown.
Rhino establishes vigorously and forms a finetextured,
up-right growth and deep-green turf. It has
exhibited improved turf quality from 1996 to 2000
at Rutgers University in Adelphia, New Jersey.
Rhino has exhibited improved resistance to Red
Thread, Summer Patch and Dollar Spot.
